Chris Rickerson is a lifelong resident of Grovetown. He is graduate of Augusta University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, where he was the Sports Editor for the school newspaper, The Bellringer. He won first place for Best Sports Story from the Southern Regional Press Institute in 2021. He also worked as a reporter for The Augusta Press, where he covered sports, government, crime and general assignments. In his free time, you can find him rooting on his favorite sports teams in the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks, Georgia Bulldogs and the New Orleans Saints.
